Unfortunately I've never played either!

Both games are available on the Wii virtual console, so I highly recommend them.

Ocarina of Time has a 99 on Metacritic, making it the highest score on the site, and it's considered by many to be the greatest game of all time. A Link to the Past is brilliant as well. I have it on my SNES.

I was ALTTP, then I converted to Ocarina.

And there are the less common but still existant Skyward Sword ones, and the occasional Majora's Mask person.

I'm kinda desperate right now. i usually give up when i get stuck in Legend of Zelda games, but those games always have a certain pull that brings me back to them no matter how frustrating they are to me. i wanna finish at least ONE LoZ game in my life, but i need help. Anyone out there that can (and will) help me?

Those are very rare. They are an endangered species, because they are being hunted by superior Zelda games that came afterwards.

I never beat a Zelda game either (and I have many), so I know how you feel.

Re: Legend of Zelda

I have only ever played three Zelda games in my life thus far. In the order in which I played them:

Link's Awakening: My first Zela game, but I did not like it and felt stupid because I could not get pass the first dungeon and found out it was so obvious.

Phantom Hourglass: I loved this game, but I never owned it, but my friend let me play his.

Skyward Sword: The best of the three, best graphics, and the most fun.

I never played TP though I think it would be pretty awsome.

Re: Legend of Zelda

The Zelda game I was closest to beating was Phantom Hourglass. I got up to the last part of the last boss.

What are some games that are like Zelda where you go on adventures and there are some puzzles to solve?

Re: Legend of Zelda

Fun fact, you can play every Zelda game released prior to Phantom Hourglass (minus the CD-i games) on the Gamecube.
