My point isn't that, it's that you already have to give reasons if you are reporting a forum post of flagging a project, so why not for comments?
projects never make as big discussions as forum topics do. plus, forum topics usually get many more views than projects do, which means more eyes seeing whatever 'innapropriate' thing was written.

Yes, but why I think it would be good is because it would help the Scratch Team when they're reading the reasons if the comment is really inappropriate or if it isn't too bad. Then they could look at the comment itself and decide for themselves.

Yes, but what if it was a personal thing? Maybe it might not seem inappropriate to some people, but what if Joe was insulted by it because of personal connections? Joe could flag it and if we had to tell a reason for why it was insulting to him personally. If you don't support, that's fine, but let's not create a flame war here wink

I think since comments are so short, it's pretty easy for a Scratch Team member to see what they did wrong. However, if you need to explain it more, it makes sense to explain it by contacting the Scratch Team.

When would you actually need to explain a comment's flagging? I'm curious.
