Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just making sure, but REM were the ones who influenced alt-rock, right?

REM did have a big influence on alternative and college rock, although Pixies arguably had more influence.

EDIT - I just looked up the album. According to Wikipedia, it's coming out on April 2nd, if you're talking about the album Weapons. It says that April 15th is when an extensive UK tour from the Lostprophets will start.

I recently got a Rage Against The Machine album. My parents are all like "Ew, turn this shouty junk off". It's not even that shouty >_>
