The Shanners' Flex Plexico was pretty good, though I'll admit I didn't really listen to many of their songs. They're all available for free on their website, though (though I'm not linking because of possible bad words).
...The Who?

Eh, sorry. I don't know any particular bands. But the closer to metal, the better, IMO.
Yep.
Try Asking Alexandria.
More metal/screemo than rock, but has some rock elements.
Most of their songs are bad, so try one called A Prophecy (linkz)
Has like one or two bad words, but they're very unnoticable.
And yes, that's their real voices.

Holy carp... What are their speaking voices like?
You hear their singing voices (almost speaking voices) halfway through the song.
I played it, and I had forgotten to plug my headphones in.
My mother: (my name), what the * is that horrid noise?
Me: A song
My mother: About a cat in a blender?
Me: *plugs headphones in*
My mom: *says something I can't hear*

I only listen to that one and Not the American average, which is noooot okay for scratch. At all. It's a song about unmentionable things that happen after (some people do it before, but it's wrong) being married.

i really think most rock is disgusting. prog rock is wonderful, but everything else shows a general disregard for any music theory whatsoever; resulting in using approximately 3.74 chords per song, so it's just plain boring.

No, it will help his point more then hurt it.
Try the solo in "Creeping Death" by Metallica.
