there are some things that you don't want everybody to see. perhaps you're telling somebody a password for a collab account u made for them. what if somebody saw that? that wouldn't be good. I'm not saying chat rooms, i mean that it should go through the scratch team and then, if it's not inappropriate or anything, send it to the person originally intended to get it.

This has been suggested time and time again, but the answer is always no. There needs to be an easy way to make sure that no one is abusing the website/ bullying others. This would be a problem with a PM system.

You obviously didn't read the sticky. The reason this cannot be implimented is because of safety issues. Think about it: If you don't want someone to see it, it probably shouldn't be on Scratch. This would cause alot of cyber-bullying aswell, because no one else could see it. If you really want to have private messaging, get a facebook or some account on a private messaging site.

This suggested has been brought up many times before, the answer to this is no. The security problems associated with PMs do not overcome its benefits. The link explaining it further has been given already by others.
