Script help needed. This is a beginner's question.

Hello!  I am brand new to Scratch (day one!) and programming something simple to learn the program, and I came upon a problem.  I was in the script section, and then clicked to "background" to add a new background, and  when I returned, the script vanished.  It is still programmed, but I was not finished.  I would like to retrieve it and keep working.  Is there a way I can find the script I was working on?  I clicked all around to find it and no luck!

Does the script still run when you start the project? If it does then just go the the sprite that the script is on, right-click the work space, and click "clean up". the script should appear.
