Except the US government is full of monkeys, and I live in the US. The government runs the schools.

Thanks for adding that bit in the original post, but the "uh"s make it feel like you're mocking and ridiculing me and other authors who don't plan. It's slightly angering and makes me feel bad.no i uh just say "uh" a lot
and i'm not too certain how great the plot can really come out if you don't plan
More train of thought style storytelling.
I generally use the no planning style for humorous stuff.

Oh guess what? You just. Insulted the whole of teachers living in the U.S! Not only do I find some of my teachers very nice and good at what they do, my dad is one!

When I write it's like watching a movie. I see the movie playing in my mind and write it down as I see it. Sometimes the movie will get stuck(I don't know what to do next), but it always fixes itself in a couple days.
And there's no need to say "uh" on the Internet. Your comment on the original post still feels rude to me.

Me too and my mom is one, but I still agree with him.

I type the way i talk dude
so there is need for it
and i call everyone dude even if you're a girl
anyway uh
i mean i don't write the plot down either but i struggle to keep it in my brain and it lowers my grades in school
Offline
i got a book on writing and it has some pretty good tips
i find character identity is very important
meaning, give them distinct looks/personalities/even ways of speech. nothing worse than reading a story and personalities are so generic you can't tell who's speaking

So try writing a short story without a pre-planned plot. Not a school project - I don't want to get you a bad grade accidentally - but on your own. From books I've read, the most important thing is to know what your characters want and take it from there.

I never said short story!
I mean if you plan on writing more then 3 pages it would probably be benificial to plan it out!

One thing I'd suggest
You notice with a lot of stories/novels the author seems to be doing patchwork, just kind of recycling and stitching together old ideas and old descriptions
Don't do that
It's just... annoying
Be as original as possible

Did you even read what I said? I said, if your technique is getting you bad grades, try writing a story - short story, long story, whatever - without a pre-planned plot. NOT as a school assignment on your first time, though.

it's not dropping my grades significantly
only by 1-2 marks
and I cannot write a story without thinking of the plot unless it's really short without accidentally making a plot in my head

You don't need to have no clue, just an idea of what it's going to basically be about.

but then it evolves into a full plot which becomes longer and twisting..

So? Isn't that the point of writing a story? And besides, you can remove unneccessary scenes when you're revising.

I hate it when people are like, way too descriptive.
You can't write good action like that IMO.
It's like in the middle of a death defying duel between two characters and the author goes "his long slick hair patted against his face as he held his intensive glare, forever yearning to be victor. The wind patted him softly like the hands of someone proud. And then he sliced the dude open lol"

You can if you're good at it
You can't be UNDERdescriptive either, like, "Then he lunged and slice open his enemy, allowing in a single movement for all his internal organs to spill out. THE END."
