For those of you complaining about the swearing, it's just trying to be realistic. I mean, think about it: does the average 13-year-old kid swear? Yes. Yes they do.

Their planet is destroyed and they must stop a battle between two other planets before the evil side wins and the kids lose.
I'd rather not tell you about the trolls, because it kind of ruins the experience for you if you read Homestuck just to get to the trolls. The kids should be appreciated too.

For those of you who are planning on reading it:

It's a good read if you're into it. Not everyone is. It's true that Act 1 doesn't appeal to everyone that would like the later acts, but in my opinion if you don't laugh at least once in the first act, Homestuck isn't your kind of webcomic. Despite how deep the story gets later, Homestuck is on the surface a comedy. However, as I said, it does get kind of deep and dark. Character murders, character personality twists, and some things like that occur. (On this topic, some of the murders can be a little gruesome, though not THAT bad. The worst is victims being decapitated.) Also, the plot can be hard to understand. Even I don't understand the whole thing fully.

Also some important things:
Don't skip Act 1. Act 1, while seeming a little boring, sets up a lot about the game. You will be very confused if you skip it altogether. Even if it's hard to read through, get through it. It'll get better when you meet Dave, many fans say. (though as I said, if you don't laugh once before Dave, Homestuck isn't for you)
PLEASE, DON'T SKIP TO ACT 5. None of you guys seem like the type of person to skip to Hivebent, but if you are at all thinking about it, don't do it. Skipping Act 1 will make Homestuck hard enough to understand, imagine what skipping FOUR WHOLE ACTS will do to your understanding.
