Here's my list of legendary Pokemon I have in Platinum:
Uxie
Mesprit
Azelf
Dialga
Palkia
Heatran
Regigigas
Giratina
Cresselia
Arceus
Regirock
Regice
Registeel
Latias
Latios
Kyogre
Groudon
Rayquaza
Ho-oh
Celebi
Moltres
Entei
Suicune (shiny)
I just caught Articuno in Leafgreen yesterday and have Darkrai and Mewtwo in White version. I used to have another Mewtwo and a Shaymin but put them in Soulsilver and lost em. I also had a Zapdos and Articuno but did the same thing. But I need a lot more to have the ultimate collection.
In White I have:
Zekrom
Reshiram
Victini x2
Thunderus
Landorus
Mewtwo
Darkrai
Cobalion
Terrakion
Virizion
Kyurem
Then in Diamond I have another Giratina and a Mesprit (no Uxie or Azelf in Diamond cause I sorta killed em... Hehe)

Um, Riolu was near the beginning of the game. Good luck training?

Are you talking about pokemon, story and region, because gen I is an atrocity if you actually look at the mechanics.
-Now possible way to make your pokemon different from another of the same kind
-Glitch ridden as heck
-Wrap was broke because the defending couldn't attack and as long as the user of wrap was faster the opposing pokemon would almost never move.
-Psychic type was extremely broken and had only one weakness
Diamond and Pearl however added the special/physical split, which alone makes it shine brighter than gen I in my eyes.
But what do I know, maybe gen I is you second least favorite.1st question: all of them.
Gen I is horrible, but has the 2nd best music (after Gen II) and it is ridiculously fun to play around with super glitch.
And yes, Gen I is my second least favorite.
My ranking:
Gen III:
9/10 stars
Gen II:
7.5/10 stars
Gen V:
5.5/10 stars
Gen I:
5/10 stars
Gen IV:
2/10 starsI don't agree with your overall opinion, but yes, I am relieved you aren't blinded by nostalgia or anything else.
I do have to ask, are you not a big pokemon fan overall? You don't seem to like much of it.
Blinded by nostalgia? Gen III was my nostalgia. I really don't like Gen IV. Well, I like Heart Gold and Soul Silver, actually, but I haven't beat the game. I got it when it already had ~200 hours of play time and all three starters. If I played the whole game, my rating of Gen IV would probably rise to about 5.5 stars.
And also, Gen I is AMAZING if you realize how difficult it was to make 8-bit games. It isn't very fun unless you do a bunch of glitches.
Also, if you think I'm not a Pokemon fan, think again. Look at my signature. I'm also attempting to make the first real Pokemon game on Scratch. I don't know what made you think that.

2/10 starsGen III felt... Really, it was really homey feeling. Something about the pallet and everything just felt like the series was right where it needed to be at the time.
Then the other games came, and improved on that formula. Gen 4 was the first generation I played, but quite honestly, it feels like gen 3 with better graphics. Not quite up to par. Still great, but not in comparison.
Your ranking of gen V is screwed up though.
My Gen V rank is my own opinion. But I agree, Gen III was awesome. I actually like the Gen III graphics. And my first Pokemon game was Pokemon Colosseum, which is super awesome.

Uh.
What.
Physical/special defense stat split was in gen 2 buddy sorry
It was in Gen II, but it was based on type. Now it's based on an individual move.

I can see a lot of you guys grew up on Diamond/Pearl, I grew up on Ruby/Sapphire (actually I had emerald but same thing). So most of you guys seem to be 11.
Plus HotCocoa I really don't see why you hate Gen I. The original versions I think are okay, but FireRed and LeafGreen are amazing. Unless you don't count those, but I sort of do.Don't get me wrong, Fire red is a fantastic game! It fixed all of the flaws that are in red blue and yellow. Fire red is a game every pokemon fan should at least try.
When I count when gens are my favorite, I take only the originals into account, I count in remakes in the gen they came out. I was mostly judging red and blue on a gameplay level because it is horrendous in that aspect. Really the towns and pokemon are decided by opinion, and I still don't like most of the pokemon, but that's just me.
But in Fire Red, there's no Missingno.!

I got emerald , but on my ds lite. I believe my first pokemon game was heartgold , i still haven't beaten the elite four for the second time!
I actually like Sapphire better than Emerald, because of Pokemon contests.

What made me think that you weren't a big pokemon fan is that you you didn't give most of the series high ratings. When I said blinded by nostalgia, I was referring to genwunners if you couldn't guess.

Does anyone here read the Extended Fanon Pokédex on TV Tropes? I personally think it's pretty cool.

No, when I made the ratings really low it was so they were spaced well. A more accurate rating chart thingy:
Gen III:
99/100 stars
Gen II:
97.5/100 stars
Gen V:
95.5/100 stars
Gen I:
95/100 stars
Gen IV:
92/100 stars

Here's my ratings for the generations (keep in mind that I'm rating them by region. That means that remakes do make an imprint in my ratings.):
1: Gen II
2: Gen V
3: Gen III
4: Gen I
5: Gen IV

Yeah HeartGold was amazing. For the same reasons that FireRed and LeafGreen are.
Most really hate that I think this, but I actually liked HeartGold/SoulSilver better than the original versions.
