No. Ash is about 16 now. He's 16 because of the time between episodes. It still possibly would be greater than 6 years though.

But Ash has to grow up sometime. Because remember, at the end of the Hoenn Saga, Max said he would battle him when he gets older. And if Max has to get older, Ash has to get older right?

AWESOME! Now that's a Bidoof I'd like on my side. Oh i forgot to mention, I have a Starly that I trained from level 1-5 to level 50 and it knows Brave Bird.
I love making weak Pokemon stronger. I caught a level 40 or so Bellsprout and now it's level 60 something (thanks to the Day-care service  )

But it has Shaymin's flower way down... THERE. No wait that's on its chest, LOL

For if he were once again a Bidoof, if this spell faltered once his life-long wish was received, he would be shunned once more. So with all his awesome glory, he took himself and fled all trainers. He fled his home.
Leaving Sinnoh far behind, the former Bidoof drifted away into the sunset, and was never seen again.

Someone needs to make a ROM hack where all unappreciated pokemon become legendaries. Then all old legendaries become weak.
