The story is longer (there being two regions) and I like how your Pokemon follow you.![]()
Just if it was compatible with the new games.
My first trainer game was Diamond, I was new to Pokemon when i got it too, my cousins told me about it and one time we watched a Pokemon marathon that lasted a few days (or it seemed like it since i was younger)
It was in the Johto region i think (the marathon i mean)

Hey you guys know about the banned anime episode "Electric Soldier Porygon" right?
It apparently aired once in Japan and gave nearly 700 kids seizures, sending most of them to the hospital.
I dared myself to watch one of the seizure inducing scenes, and while I'm not epileptic in the slightest, it really really irritated my eyes. D:
It's a shame, too, the episode had a really cool and promising concept.
If you want to experience the eye torture for yourself, I really don't recommend you do so, if you want your eyes to hurt for a few minutes. -.-
There are a few other banned Pokemon episodes, including one with excessive use of guns pointed but not shot at people, one with tons of earthquakes (not really sure why they'd ban it for that) and apparently one involving a swimming contest of sorts and they give James of Team Rocket um- ahem- *women breasts*
DISGUSTING in the least...
You can find lots of Pokemon info at www.serebii.net, you can also find every single Pokemon and a list of every episode aired in Japan (except banned ones i think although you can read about them somewhere on the site) and you can see pictures from the episodes going over the whole thing but not enough to really make out the story....

They banned the earthquake one as it was made during the Japan earthquakes - which at the time seemed offensive. Next, there was another where a building (with a huge similarity to the Twin Towers) was blown up, and it was created at the time of the 9/11 attacks.

Wait a minute, wasn't that episode in Hoenn? If it was, that would've been 5 years later than 9/11.

Maybe they stopped showing reruns of that episode during that period?

Also the Porygon episode's concept was really cool too. It's like the PC storage system was messed up and Pokemon are getting lost in cyberspace, so Ash, Misty, and Brock have to go into the system and fix it. Then they become hunted by some antivirus who thinks that they're viruses.
The scene that caused the seizures was when Pikachu hit some missiles sent at them by an antivirus program with his Thunderbolt, and caused an explosion with flashing red and blue at an incredibly high frequency.
And this episode I think single handedly delayed the release of Pokemon to the US and Europe for another year. (The episode aired in 1997).

Exactly.

Pikachu should frame Raichu for the seizures? Is that what you're saying?

I think she meant that they should have used....yeah maybe use Raichu to cause the seizures. I mean it's not like Pikachu's gonna evolve any century soon anyway.
Or maybe he should frame Ash! THAT GUY NEVER AGES!!! 14 YEARS AND HE'S STILL 10!!!!!

He would be 25 or 26 by now if you go by how long the Anime has been going, but if you count each gen season region he went to as a year, he would be 14-15.

He looks more 14-15 than 10...
Especially in more recent seasons.

But it's like he goes through a whole region in a couple of months cause when the Unova region was "discovered" what did it say? Ten year old Ash Ketchum is blah blah blah going to region blah blah blah find new Pokemon blah blah blah never before seen blah blah blah...

Bulbapedia is back up, in case anyone didn't notice.
Recently I've taken an interest in BlazeBlack and VoltWhite 2, the sequel the hack BlazeBlack and VoltWhite. For those who don't know, the BBVW2 hack is the Black and White 2 equivalent of Emerald 386. What I like is how it integrates the additional Pokémon into the environment. There is a (very minor) sidequest that explains the appearances of the other legendaries in Unova. Haven't seen it yet, but there's a Veteran in the Humilau Pokémon Center who gives you an item that unlocks the legendaries in a similar fashion to the Mystery Part and Secret Slab from Mystery Dungeon 2. Unlike PMD2, however, they appear in set locations like other legendaries. It also changes the types and movesets of some Pokémon, but a version of the hack removes those changes. It's very fun for those who wish to get more out of their game. I recommend it to anyone who has a ROM.

Yeah but in an episode in the Kanto region Misty said it's been a year since they were in Pallet Town.
Is it possible Ash was born on leap year???
