Re: The new Scratch t-shirts

Are the T-shirts screen printed or digitally printed?  The company offers both styles, but screen-printed T-shirts work better on dark colors (they have to be pre-ordered in quantity by the "store" owner, since they are made in larger lots, while the digitally printed shirts are created on demand).

I'd like to know since I'd like a black T-shirt if they are screen printed, but not if they are digitally printed (that process does not work well on dark shirts).

I'm guessing, from the limited color selection, that they are screen printed.  Can someone verify this?

Thanks

Re: The new Scratch t-shirts

I believe they are created on demand since we didn't pre-ordered them.  Maybe if there is enough demand we might consider pre-ordering them.

Re: The new Scratch t-shirts

If they are created on demand, then the black background t-shirts are likely to be disappointing:

Yes, both digital and screened shirts can be printed on any color shirt. While the
technology for this is brand new across the industry, we think we're leading in quality.

For dark or black shirts, keep in mind that white backgrounds will not be transparent, and
that dark images will not show up well. In these cases, you will need to alter images in
your image-editing software. Also be warned that the technology for digital printing on
black t-shirts is brand new. We are on the cutting edge of this technology and are
working hard to perfect it, constantly developing new techniques and treatments to make
it work. Be aware, however, that digital printing is not screen printing, and with digital
printing colors get muted on dark and black shirts, and whites are not as bright.

Has anyone bought a black t-shirt yet and checked the colors?
