Especially since people are posting stories. It would be like a quote box, but the text won't show until you press "spoiler" or something like that. It would be a great way to save space. The tags would be like this:
Lookit meeeeeee
.
Who agrees?

Is it really necessary though? I agree that it might be useful in certain situations, but surely you could just not look at it?

It seems a tad unnecessary to me. A possible solution would be to make your text an unreadable color that would only be readable when you highlight it with your mouse.

I support 50%, because I agree with trinary but want this to happen

I don't mean like secrets or whatever, I mean so stories take up less space in a post.

It'd also help make different sections of a long guide or something.

Maybe instead, an "unfold" button that shows the whole story when you press it.

I don't see why this would be necessary. You could just use some code (which has a scrollbar if it's really long.)
Example: JGFkjlahlkghlakjdfglkjadfhgliuhtliuqehotiuarhfoiuqy40817468507yqhegfbnzbafjkhgb afdhgoaeuryotquyotuy3876skljjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjghsu9prahfguuigehrut uh854y o785y 875 875tvco987w

That's exactly what I mean. Though I would do it chapter-by-chapter if it's long.
@Mokat: I find code tags make it harder to read with the scroll tags and think it should be used for, well, code.

The thing is though, it would probably take a while to develop, and it's not really essential. It would be better if the Scratch Team concentrated on other stuff, in my honest opinion.

Aw. You did it. Well, this solves the spoiler problem! Just make the text transparent!
DONT HIGHLIGHT THIS POST!! REALLY!

The [transparent] tag doesn't work on Internet Explorer, use instead If you want invisible text in a quote, use

I would rather the Scratch programmers focused on Scratch 2.0 instead of this.

I'll even make one now!

Stop saying to use invisible text. What's wanted is something to collapse, and take up less room.

Thank you. Invisible text won't help at all.

I've changed my mind actually, I guess it would be useful. It can get annoying when there's a really long post I'm not interested in.

I could make an extension (actually, I already have, for a different forum) that allows collapsing of quote and code boxes. If people put the stuff in a quote, it would be collapsible.

That would be cool! I'll see if my parents will let me download it (they don't like me downloading stuff) when you make it
