alice SUCKS! it a worthless piece of crud in my opinion, you can't make any games with it! the programming technique is really weird its only good for learning some minor stuff about 3D

no, it doesnt, well my dad says it doesnt, and its quite fun so far. There is supposed to be a way to learn Java with it, and I want to learn it

You can make games with it. But you have to limit your number of objects. Since Alice is 3D, the computations take too long if you have too many objects.

HighSchoolMusical,
Thanks for the positive feedback! Please keep posting back as you try different things with Alice.
The first link on this page is for the best Alice book we've found.

The list also includes recommended books for learning Scratch, Java and Python.

Hello,
I think you could use also http://prodcessing.org to learn programming
It's based on Java. You can share yours projects on web or make applications with it. You can use sound and 3D...
( happy new year to all )
