Over the last few months, I have been designing a Home Theater out of a mixture of old and new, and salvage parts. It is now mostly finished.

The computer
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+
GPU: XFX One (Best Buy version of the AMD Radeon HD 5450)
RAM: 4GB Kingston DDR2
PSW: Antec 500W
Sound card: HT Omega Striker 7.1
HDD: Western Digital Caviar 60GB
Monitor: Toshiba 32" LCD TV
OS: Windows XP Home Edition x86 (32 bit)

The 7.2 (.2 = TWO subwoofers) Sound System
Logitech X-530 (5.1 Surround Sound) as the base system
Subwoofer from a Logitech X-240 (2.1 system)
OEM Dell speakers (as the side channels to make it 7 main channels)

I will post pictures as soon as I can get them.

Picture time!

Side view (technically top, case is on its side) showing all the geeky goodness inside. You can see that there is a second hard drive installed, which is a WD Caviar 80GB. It had Ubuntu 8.10 and 11.04 on it, but it died a few months ago.

Closer look at the lower part of the case. The GPU is the card at the top of the picture. The card with the colorful ports is a Sound Blaster Live! Value (used for it's awesome MIDI synth), the 3rd card is the HT Omega Striker 7.1.

Front of the case, showing home made AMD and Win XP stickers, and the two CD drives (one of which is broke). Just peeking out of the bottom left corner of the picture is a Sound Blaster 16.

The TV used as a monitor, and some of the speakers. The black box under the bed is the X-240s sub.

The last two speakers, and alot of posters, some of which have been there since i was 3 or 4, others were school projects from elementary school. tongue
