Exactly why was (COLORS) so scary?

it wasn't, it was freaky because even the most hairbrained idea can be turned into a good creepypasta.

First off, I think I would have gone in a different direction than that. The "beast in you" would be the anger, and then more. Or "they" be a stalker, which I thought was the direction it was headed in the beginning. Secondly, I wouldn't call it a "creepy"pasta, but it's good for a first. All my creepypastas are waaaaaaay worse.

I have been scared of The Simpsons for a long time, not just the Halloween episodes, but the episodes heavy on gore. Yet the others, they never really troubled me. I found the humour funny at one age, then now that I'm older, I find the other 'adult humour' funny too. Soon, once I came over my phobia, it was the easter eggs on the DVD box set menus that scared me. Especially this one.

Day 1:

Just brought Season 4, finally! Now my collection is complete, and this season is full of classic episodes! I think I'll watch Lisa's First Word first.

Not so disturbing, but that sequence with Bart sleeping in his new cot, it dosen't look good. I'll watch a few others, then go to work.

Just came back, work was unbearable, I kept imagining Bart crying in his new clown crib, moaning, "Help me."

Day 2:

Last night I had the same image, why is it stuck in my head? I decided to watch something else, maybe that could refresh my memory.

I was fooled, when I switched on the TV, the screen was paused at the frame where Bart looks up at the bed's menacing eyes, I quickly switched from the DVD.

It switched to a channel featuring the same episode, and the same sequence had just started. This was getting uncomfortable.

I shouldn't have done what I just did. I'm a big fan of Easter eggs, when you find something hidden, and on DVD menus, you can find some hilarious content. When I was about to view some deleted scenes on the box set DVD menu, I accidently pressed the left button whilst highlighting my selection and a invisible light bulb was shown on the screen. I...


This was all detective Kyle Stanson could find on the victim's laptop.

A man named Lucas, his second name unknown, was reported missing after three months after his last sighting. He was last seen in his house on May 13th 2011 at 5:47pm. It is admitted that he was watching a The Simpsons episode deleted scene. This was made available due to a hidden easter egg on the DVD menu, or possibly a hack on the DVD. The supplier was a well-known and trusted company called MaxDVD, and they have denied hacking. The scene from the episode Lisa's First Word depicts a toddler-aged Bart in a new clown crib constructed by his father. The rest has not been affirmed, after footage mysteriously stopped, and witnesses have blacked out as the scene moves on to what was deleted. Head detective Kyle Stanson is currently on the case.

The notes on the laptop where what Lucas wrote after seeing the deleted scene, and the rest of the notes could not have been written as seemingly, Lucas' laptop shut down, luckily saving what was wrote. Lucas was growing impatient, he needed answers. He couldn't risk watching the scene, he first needed to give some interviews, in case that that could answer his question, without risking his own life.

He traveled to where the episode was animated and written. He had the lead animator, Joan Partridge interviewed.

"I've forgotten most of the details, but the production of the scene was horrifying. The sequence was an extract from a cancelled Treehouse of Horror episode, which was soon after given an extreme age rating. It had to be cut down so it could be suitable for the episode. I told the animators to burn down the footage, and I watched as it did. We then heard screaming, one of the animators inside the building had collapsed. We knew he had an extreme case of a fear of clowns, but we wondered, why would a clown be in the premises? He didn't animate Krusty, so he never saw any footage of him. Once he had been revived, we asked him to draw a picture of the clown. Once handed some paper and a pencil, he drew what we call now Handsome Pete. But he could never have possibly seen Krusty, but, he saw the footage. The one we burned down wasn't actually the master copy. We asked him what he had seen on the screen nearby him, but no need. It suddenly came on by itself."

Joan then started laughing hysterically and had to be admitted to an insanity ward. She soon died after from what the doctors called, 'Memory Suicide'. Which was where an extreme memory forced the brain to shut down. This clearly had something to do with Handsome Pete, which was featured in an episode where Bart and Lisa show The Sea Captain a balloon with Krusty's face on, but deformed. The Sea Captain then showed the kids Handsome Pete, who had a face the same as the balloons.

The footage wasn't disturbing at all, but because of the animator's fear of clowns, it was serious. And the fact the clown's face was distorted, it pressured the animator too far. But how was Handsome Pete featured in the scene? Handsome Pete was officially created when Season 7 was in production. Maybe then, that wasn't true.

Kyle had to finally take a risk, and watch the footage himself. He followed the instructions explained in the notes, and it started playing the scene. Sadly, once the scene was finished, not just Kyle disappeared, the boxset and any other evidence of the even had vanished. Now all that remains is Bart's miserable cry, "Help me."
