It was snowing nicely this morning, so I took the opportunity to snap a few photos of the gorgeous white fluff. I'm a bit of a rookie photographer, but I thought a few of the pictures turned out really great. You can take a look here:

On a side note, this is really only the third decent snowfall this winter. I thought I lived in Canada... (but don't let this become a discussion on snow!)

EDIT 01/31/12 - more pictures can be seen here - and not just of snow.

Whoa, those look really neat! I really like the second and seventeen through twenty where you can see how crystalline the snow is.

Anyway, nice pictures, you have some good skill. My cousin's girlfriend is a professional, and yours seem to be as good as hers. The The close ups on the trees are nice.

Great pictures! I think this one wasn't the greatest, but the rest were cool. I liked the one with the bird-house best. 14-16, where you got the snow blowing around is neat too, even though it's a bit blurry.

What kind of camera do you have?
However hard I try, my camera never gets photos like those.
They always look flat.

It's a DSLR camera - a Pentax K100D to be exact (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentax_K100D). If you have the money I'd highly recommend getting a DSLR.

I'm used to black and white film photography... I'll see if I can scan them and create a topic later - I don't get any chances to photograph snow in my current residence. sad

Those are some really amazing pictures! It would be really cool if you could take a time-lapse of falling snow (without ruining the camera). I wonder what it would look like...
