You only have to write them, but many people record demos and/or final versions of songs.

It depends on how much I like the songs I make and how much time I have, but I'm going to at least do demos.

You should try to do a demo of all of them, then you'll get a better idea of your fondness of certain ones.

I would recommend that you stop complaining, and get a headstart.
