Whoa. 14/27 topics are minecraft on first page (not counting stickies) when I come home from school.
Yep. That's actually reason I'm seen more in R&P than here, because all these Minecraft threads annoy the heck out of me.

Question: should all Minecraft things be merged into the Minecraft Official Topic? Becuase whenever I go on MaC more than half the topics are Minecraft.
Or, even ban Minecraft from the forums, finding a diffrent forum to discuss it. (I doubt that will happen)
If the threads are about servers, then they need their own thread.
And sorry, but I don't think that's ever gonna happen.

I know...
Wait, why does each server need its own thread?
Maybe Scratch should make a seperate minecraft forum as a sub-forum of MaC!!

There should definitely be a rule that says you can't make non-server Minecraft topics. Also, we should have a rule where there can only be a server topic for your server if it is more that a month old. (because if it is less than a month old then you should be able to discuss it in the OT)

I don't really see why people can't talk about non-server minecraft topics, some people like to tell others whats going on in their worlds. Plus, if this rule is passed, then scratchers can't post about their world is up on planet minecraft for download.
Thats all I got

There's a Minecraft Official Topic for that.
I think this is all we need. A Minecraft Official Topic, and Server topics.

Yeah. I like minecraft and all, but I also would like to see some other things.

Since this is like misc, new scratchers shouldn't be able to post.
Why? Boohoo, new Scratchers can post, what's the problem with that? Nothing bad can come from newbies being able to say what they're doing outside of Scratch.
Spam, Commercial spamming. A lot of stuff can come from New Scratchers.

So these two sections and only these two sections are strictly no commercial spam?

Well these two forums are easier to spam accidentally.

Same amount of effort, copy+paste, done, other forums, copy+paste, done, no difference.
Still, why did they have the no new scratcher rule in misc? I don't think it is just spam, it is also probably to cut down on flaming and other things.

Because newbies didn't realise that it was for non-scratch things, and it's getting worse now, people think this is show and tell.

Why would you want one, anyway?

I'm pretty sure you can.

Are we allowed to make a topic about a show that is really good, but may not be suited for some kids due to language?
I wouldn't link to anything and would probably warn the viewers about such things.
Just wondering.

Exactly, there will be less effort involved moderating this forum if new scratchers can't post because they won't be using this for things they made in scratch.

At last, someone gets it, newbies will use this for Scratch projects because they're, well, new. So not letting newbies post here means less spam, but knowing the Scratch team they'll just delete RaP and MaC and set fire to the server while chanting things in Squeak.
