Oh well, it looks like I'll have to try to keep this thread alive now... By myself... Because you'll be dead...
sorry, that sounded like a threat. Don't take it personnaly. it's from Portal. If you didn't know.
And now something to make this post worthwhile! (uh lesse here... something worthwhile...)
Ah! go and stare at the computer screens in Portal/Portal 2. They scroll ingredients for the "cake". You'll be amazed at how many fish-related things there are.

Mmmm... cake.
Chell problably hasn't had cake in a long time. Avoiding all Glados' death traps.

I just was able to start playing portal again (got it for my ps3) and I went into the test chamber Glados asks you to go in when you're escaping for the first time and there is a place to go outside. If someone could use noclip to go around the test chamber and see if there is a deer there that would be awesome.

WRONG!
Portal 2 is 20$ on steam.
It also actually gets updates.
And you can noclip.
GO GET IT.

I'll try it, but I don't think there will be anything there.
*after you walk into the chamber and die from neurotoxin* "achievment unlocked: good listener" yayz! (>0-0<)

Yes, but my graphics processor sucks, so much so the game doesn't even allow me to play it. It turns up a black screen.
When comparing the ps3 and the PC versions there are small differences, like how the ps3 version has better graphics and worse controls and PC version is vice versa.
Also, I just finished it on my PS3, 5 minutes ago. When Wheatley asked me to come back after the trap I did without knowing about the trophy .

Don't forget about the blue core on GLaDOS in the orginal Portal, he also started spouting the ingredients to the cake also. I know theres a scratch project that caught it.

Thats what we were talking about, before talking about the first Portal. I had a look on some test chambers and found some really hard ones.

I played a test chamber made in Hammer and the ending was C-R-E-E-P-Y.
So, you get to the end, and the elevator wont open, so you find this room with a button and you press it. It doesnt do anything, but when you turn around there is a sudden cutscene with chell in the doorway with white eyes and a red backround with creepy music playing. I ammediatly turned it off at that point so I'm not sure what else happenes. The chamber was called "Don't make lemonade"

Oh, yeah, one of the ultimate sources for Portal info and stuff is the half life wiki at half-life.wikia.com. Even though it's half life, there's tons of stuff about the Portal series too, because they're intertwined.

I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons? Don't make lemonade! Get mad! Demand to see life's manager
I don't want your **** lemons! What am I supposed to do with these?!
Make life rue the day it decided to give Cave Johnson lemons!
Do you know who I am?! I'm the guy who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons!
I'm gonna get my engineers to make a combustable lemon that's gonna burn your house down

I played it. After that, the screen goes black, and then shows a picture of the world and says: "And that is how the world was created."

Actually, no.
She IS caroline, because according to lab-rat neither caroline nor cave were present at the time of GLaDOS's first activation, meaning she was already in there.
Also, "Bring your daughter to work day"'s science fair had a project BY CHELL.
Cave was dead by then because wheatley was activated to see that, and you can only have two parents.
It didn't show GLaDOS's first activation in Lab Rat. It showed a later one because a scientist mentioned how it was a millisecond longer before she wanted to kill them.
Chell was at 'Bring your daughter to work day' obivously, that's how she ended up in the laboratory. Along with the thousand other sons and daughters, AKA future test subjects. You know, the ones P-Body and Atlas found at the end of the co-op campain? It turns out not all the scientists were insane and the sane ones managed to get their children before GLaDOS killed the scientists with neurotoxin and locked them away in a vault without the secruity cameras.
And Chell is not Caroline or Cave's daughter as Cave was horribly sick around the time when Caroline was put into GLaDOS when Cave realized GLaDOS was a corrupt AI and he was too sick or afraid to give the orders to stop it. So, just to delay it and have the one amount of hope remain when all evil went loose, he put Caroline into GLaDOS. Cave then probably died shortly after that. If this is so, why would Chell be brought to work if both Cave and Caroline were gone? Chell is most likely the Rattman's daughter, who he forgot due to him running out of his medication. This is why he had a good feeling about her and chose her.

Wait, here's a new theory: The turret singing at the end of Portal 2 is your mother and the king turret is your father. I know it sounds crazy, but it makes sense. Knowing Caroline was put into GLaDOS, you know human minds can be put into computers or robots. Also, the lyrics of the song the turrets sing is Italian. If you translate it to English, they are:
Dear beautiful, my beautiful darling!
My child, oh heavens!
For I hold her in esteem...
For I hold her in esteem.
Farewell to my dear!
My dear girl,
why do you not walk away?
Yes, away from Science,
My dear, my dear girl?
Ah, my beautiful!
Ah, my dear!
Ah, my dear!
Ah, my child!
Oh dear, my dear...
And it's a little unlikely, but Chell could also be Caroline's daughter. Most likely her adopted daughter. Because I've been wondering if the turret opera was a message from GLaDOS or the turrets themselves.

The turret opera was a message from Ellen who voiced GLaDOS.
Valve wanted her to make up a song that meant goodbye to the players so she made it up on the spot.

Have any of you heard of the prophet portal??
In one of the chapters while you are running on a conveyor belt, one of the turrets mutters to you: "pick me up" "I'm different". If you do pick the turret up, it will talk to you about various subjects of Aperture and then the last the thing it says is this: "her name is Caroline, don't forget that"

This is a very possible suggestion though, I mean the song translation makes it very convincing. [strokes chin]

Ellen McLain wrote:
When we were in the studio, I did all of the recording in a lot of different syllables. You know... Doo-doo-doo, va-va-va, la-la-la... You know, different consonants and different vowel combinations. And then Mike said: "Well, can you just make up some words?" And I said: "Sure!" So I made up words in my very bad high-school Italian, because I studied Italian when I was in the high school. And I have to say that Mike and I have decided that we are not going to divulge exactly what I said, because we love all the creativity. On the Internet, the translations are close or not so close, but none of them have been absolutely correct. But it was, because Mike Morasky told me in the recording session, he said: "This is the goodbye. This is the goodbye to the player. So, hence, this is the goodbye to Chell." So I started making up words in Italian.

I'm not sure if any other AI other than GLaDOS ever had a human personality put into them. After all, putting Caroline into GLaDOS was just an experiment (Cave Johnson himself said the technology was experimental). So anyone in their right mind wouldn't do this procedure on a ton of AI when they weren't even sure it would work. Then again, this is Aperture Science we're talking about...
