Did you know you can see rattmann in portal? I'm to freaked out to watch the video. Anyone wanna link it to us? It's in the room you start the game in, just spin around real quick- and BAM, guy with his hand on the glass. I read that. Would anyone look into it for me?

You can't see him in Portal 
I think Rattman actually went to the moon with the companion cube, and sent down that message with the photo of the companion cube. When you get the first portal gun in Portal 2 and look up from where you're standing, there's each different phase of the moon, and a square patch of sky visible higher up. He could've been studying the moon through that patch!

Rattman? I believe he's on test 11 (by memory) in chamber 3. Go into the den but don't go down to the 'basement' underneath. Listen to any of the walls on the right, but very carefully. You'll hear a slight mumble of Rattman. PROBLEM SOLVED?

I see where you're going with that theory,

A recent post on this thread showed evidence that Rattman had interest in the moon in Portal, so maybe he converted himself into a core so GLaDOS wouldn't find him. GLaDOS simply put him with all the other broken cores because of his gibberish. However, that means that Rattman was never in the events of Portal 2...?

He could've put himself in the core DURING portal 2...

Maybe... and then he sent that transmission (pic) to show Chell where he needed to go and why. But obviously, a human couldn't survive in space, so he became a core so he could survive.
