Well personally, I really really really really don't want the Doctor to turn into a woman.
Mostly so that I can say 'he' when referring to the Doctor and keep some ambiguity to which regeneration.

So what's the next episode called? And what's it about?

Hide.
It's a ghost story, though it most certainly won't be an actual ghost, because it never is.

Doctor Who is turning into Scooby Doo.
Except instead of it looking paranormal or alien and then turning out to be a vengeful human, it always looks paranormal or human and then turns out to be a vengeful alien.
The last new episode was a nice break from this, but it looks like we're going back into the thick of it soon.

Oh! Maybe it's those things that were around Charles Dickens!

I think the fact that you're calling it a "man's role" in the first place is self-defeating. It isn't a man's role, it's a role, and it's just been in best interest for the writers to make the character male
Forcing women into things just because it's a "man's role" isn't what girl power is about
I thought the reference to it as a "man's role" meant it was, currently, a role being played by a man, but then his further replies went and messed up his perfect fail-safe!

I can't wait until the fiftieth anniversary. It's going to be awesome to see the Doctor in ELEVEN DIFFERENT FORMS AT ONCE.

I'm reading Apollo 23.

Actually, Christopher Eccelson denied acting to the movie. D: So it's only 10 doctors. But Rose is coming back.

The old Doctors are being replaced with new actors, so maybe he will!

i doubt it
none of the dead doctors can actually decline; so their "image" can be used
christopher eccelson declined on moral grounds - perhaps if the next doctor was a woman, he could be persuaded to come back (that's the objection to the movie-he said that even as a child the fact that the man's the smart one and the woman's the pretty one ["the doctor's for the children, the companion's for the dads"] seemed dreadfully unfair to him)?

some people have been saying that in the episode 'the doctor's name' he will reveal his name.
that would be utterly disappointing.

He's not going to reveal it to us, they know we don't want the fun to be spoiled. Remember how River knew his name in "Silence in the Library"? He's probably going to reveal that.

please no
the doctor's name is the underlying question
it's like 'what is a gentleman' in great expectations
or 'what was in the briefcase' in pulp fiction

They has been no confirmation that any previous Doctor's other than Tennant will be appearing, actually.

Wait, why not Matt Smith? I mean, he's the current Doctor and all. Or maybe he regenerates soon...

I didn't see Cold War until Thursday but my was it dreadful.

Hide and Cold War both feel like homages to the older Doctor Whos. You know, low-budget but a good plot.

Not in Britain so I can't comment on Hide, but good plot my rear end.
It was literally like
40 minutes of talking
and they do that a lot in Doctor Who so it's a little more boring than normal but whatever
but then they are all like "DON'T PRESS THE BUTTON! FIND IT IN YOUR HEART!"
and like, it would be really cool to see how Skaldak had developed in the episode towards his decision
WHOOP DEE DOO WE GOT A SPACESHIP
The spaceships entrance was SO IDIOTIC
Not only does it get rid of the primary threat (Skaldak) it also allows them to resurface and not lose all their oxygen
That's not a resolution, that's luck.
