Hey bieberfever13, there's already a thread discussing the Hunger Games books (great books, btw). We try not to get duplicate projects in the forums so I'm going to merge the two threads together If you look in the very top right of the forums, you can see a lovely little search box which really helps when looking to see if something already exists!

I thought the books were pretty awesome, but the first was the best. The movie was even better, one of the best soundtracks Ive heard along with Sunshine and Star Wars.
Spoilers below, highlight the post to see...
In the last book, it disturbed me greatly how Katniss ended up getting horribly burned.

The second one's the best, in my opinion. Certainly not worse than the first or third, anyway.

First book was amazing, second book still pretty good, third one *naughty string of words* katniss, gale and peeta. Although I admittedly like Peeta more after incidents in third book. But GaleXkatniss forever!

Bonnie and Twill!!! (SPOILER FOR THOSE READING CATCHING FIRE) It's a shame they don't make it into District Thirteen. Mitchell, Cressida, Ceaser Flickerman are also some we missed.
Ok, ok, I just couldn't be bothered to write any more Did anyone else not realise that cinna was black? btw
I'm pretty sure it said in the book that Cinna was black.

lol. And the president of 13 is Presisdent Coin.Have u seen the movie, its a shame Madge isnt in it, and there should have been A LOT more blood (and maybe kissing) XD
Their aim was to make it a 12 rating, and they wouldn't be able to do that if there was loads of blood. I have no clue how they're gonna include the scene where loads of children get blown up in the last one though...
They get blown into ashes?

I didn't like the book or the movie.
The book's plot was extremely predictable. It was obvious early on that both of them would survive. There was also a gross overuse of sentence fragments. I know fragments can contribute to mood but there was literally a time when it was just a list of stuff in a bag.
It was something like: I picked up the bag I had stolen. Cherries, water, some arrows.
I mean honestly. Just write: I picked up the bag I had stolen and saw it contained cherries, water, and some arrows.
I didn't like the movie because it takes forever to start. It took an hour and a half before the actual "Hunger Games" began in the movie. Those 1 and a half hours were excruciating waiting in boredom to see if something more interesting would happen, the actual games were a letdown. If I need to wait that long to see the actual main part of the movie and do so in boredom, it's no good.

I didn't enjoy the hunger games( although i have to admit i was impressed how close the movie kept to the book) and i don't particularly see why everyone likes it so much. Especially since it takes so much from Battle royal...

Concept=/=copy
:L
Battle Royale had the same concept, but the plot/execution is very different
And I'm pretty sure both the author and the director have stated they'd never heard of it

Yeah I know it is different in some ways but it still has a similar plot idea, I suppose there are only so many ideas in the world though.
