Ehh, Alex Rider's extremely predictable, in my honest opinion, and he's too "perfect"; I find characters with no flaws extremely annoying. Have you tried the CHERUB series? It's about a secret organisation called CHERUB who trains children who have noone to stay with into spies. It's my favourite series, because apart from children spies, it's completely realistic. With Alex Rider, you know everything's gonna end up perfect, but with CHERUB, the writer's not afraid to make something bad happen to the main character, etc..
