Exactly! The Scratch Team has appropriate reasons to split the miscellaneous forums.

To tell you the truth, I was actually against the idea of the forums changing at first. But now, I've realized why it is really needed. After skimming over about 100 pages of topics, I now see why this change will be made. Look at this first page. There are probably about 7 topics either about quitting or the forums being changed(including this one). That's a lot of spam and is just clutter on forums like these. The main purpose of the Scratch forums was to have another way of helping and welcoming scratchers. Ever since Miscellaneous was added, that's all people care about. I remember when the topics used to be good. Now look at them. I can't find a good, constructive topic and I've searched for about 100 pages. Most topics are either about people crying and saying they are quitting like this one, trolling and fame. I now think this will be great because those topics will no longer be allowed so only constructive topics can be posted. That's just my opinion.

I was actually against the idea at first but that's because I was really confused about what was going on. I didn't say I was quitting or get mad at anyone. I just asked questions and got a better understanding of what was happening. Now, I realize that the changes are for the better, not worse.
