I don't think they'll be moved at all. They'll be closed like the rest of misc topics, so will have to be created again in the new forum.

We're moving threads like when Inspiration and More was closed. Most Minecraft threads will likely end up on the Reading and Playing thread.

Except for server threads, because aren't they created?

True, They could almost fit in either.

They could...This is confusing XD

I have so many questions and concerns
If the topics that belong in the new forums are here, you said they will be moved to the new ones. There are TONS of topics on games. That would clutter up the new forums very quickly.

Sorry for direct-quoting this, but it seems that no-one has seen my question.

Yeah, I'm starting to see that some threads look like they could fit in either category, that's something to think about when moving day comes. I'll shoot off a message to the rest of the Scratch Team and moderators regarding Minecraft threads (since there's a fair amount of them already).

Last I saw, the decision was to put them in Making and Creating...but things could change. There's always going to be grey areas that will need ironing out (you like the mixed metaphor?).

Not all. It'll be like when I&M ended;; report a thread and it'll be moved, but not all threads will be moved.

That's why I'm not really liking the whole "splitting up" thing.
I really liked having one forum, so we could make new friends and stuffYou cab still do that, it's just more organised!
I do see the need to have a 'Polls & Surveys" forum though.Dunno if that's quite needed yet, for the most part, you could still create poll topics in either of the two sections so long as the question is relevant - for example, you could ask something like "Pokemon vs. Digimon" in the "Things I'm reading and playing".
When the off-topic forum was created, it was kind of assumed that it would still be a place for creativity - not a catch-it-all for any topic in general. The proposed replacement focuses more on the ideals that the Media Lab embodies.
Of course, one might never know what happens in the future - maybe the categories will change again (there was a looooong debate on whether or not to make a third category for those interested in things like modding and programming in other languages!), but we'll have to wait. Right now, we're sticking with two and watching how the community will grow over time; categories can always be created/modified later if needed.
On an off-topic note, a poll function would be nice, though. It would be useful for things like Project Ideas and Suggestions.
Anything about programming though, is covered in advanced topics... I wouldn't like to have to go down to IAM to post about all my programming things, Jeez, most of my later posts have been in Advanced Topics, rather than in Misc. I guess I moved on from games & the such

Well, sadly, not all topics are going to be supported in the new forum structure. The focus is going to be more on things you are creating/making/interested-in and less on day-to-day twitter-like topics. Hopefully, this will still let our community share interests, but maybe with less spam and conflict. We'll see.

Exactly.
We should also have a "Poll" piece.
So we can have polls such as:
"What's your favorite pie?"
"What kind of projects do you like creating?"
"Which class is your favorite?"
