So, in a nutshell, no more misc. Better go to /b/ then, because that's my only other choice for a random forum.
There is still going to be what you can consider "Misc", however it will be separated into two sections -- one for what you're viewing/playing, and one for what you're making/creating.
And none for the socialize-and-get-to-know-everyone topics D:> That's why I am quitting if these changes are made. No "This or That" no "Found a conspiracy" no "<insert complaint about something here>" no "What did you get for christmas" no "Official scratchers photo thread"
Conspiracy threads aren't allowed anyway :>

I think this thread is a conspiracy against stuff!!

Seems nice, i'm actually excited.
What would like a offical topic of a show would go in? Or a thread about how your birthday is tommorow or something like that.

No, that's not quite right. Misc was an "open-topic" forum. The two new forums are not - so all topics must fit into the new forums. If they don't, they'll be removed, and a notification will be sent.
What if we just want to have a discussion? For example, we cannot talk about school because it does not fit in these two categories.

Official topic of a show would probably go in "What I'm reading and playing" or whatever it's called. I'm not so sure about birthday ones though.

What about shows and movies?

Well, at least its better than complete deletion.

What if we want to talk about other things, such as our favorite restaurant/ amusment par/TV show/ etc.?

That's the whole point of removing Misc. though, to cut down on those types of topics :>

That would still fit.

Someone suggested we just make them: Making and Creating, and Reading and Playing (they'll be in the Inspiration Beyond Scratch section, so it should be clear that they are for stuff other than Scratch.) What do you think?
I definitely like that. It's smaller, but doesn't lose a lot of its meaning.

Well, "What did you get for christmas" could go into the "Reading and Playing" section if you want...
If you want to know Scratchers well, you should consider making projects about yourself, commenting on other's projects, or even consider collaborating with them (or making remixes). There's plenty of "RPG Galleries" as you know where people socialize.

Hmm, it seems I misjudged. The constraints are going to be a bit tighter I suppose.

Maybe we should have a forum for drama!
[/joke]
Yea, I guess this is a cool idea, and it's not like I don't talk about MInecraft anyway. xD

The only thing I can think to add is slightly simpler names. "Things I’m Making and Creating" and "Things I’m Reading and Playing" don't exactly roll off the tongue. I have no idea what you'd call them instead, though.

Aren't "making and creating" technically the same thing? Maybe that could be shortened to "Creations". No ideas about the reading and playing section, but I feel like a lot of the section names now have names that are nouns. "Offsite Media"? I don't really know.

Can the DwarvenCraft Minecraft server get moved, assuming it doesn't collapse? Thanks

But other users need advice sometimes.

I wonder who'll get the last post before it's locked up and the key is thrown away...

No. This is really just a more controlled and more organised version of Misc. If people actually care about the site, the community, and meaningful discussion on here, they'll stay.

In all honesty though, Scratch isn't really the best place to get advice about most things anyway though

Don't start... The 26th we will probably have tons of posts of people wanting to have the last one
Offline
The topics I always liked best are for the most part still staying
Which is why I don't really mind
My favorites:
Topics about things people have written
Topics about shows (well hmm, which ones now?)
Topics discussing movies
Topics I annoyingly post about stuff I'm making/have made
Topics discussing books
Et cetera...
