But polls and surveys are an extremely good way to get to know each other, and we're more likely to have fun if we all know each other...

So they aren't major contributors to the moderating team, in terms of forum management (to my knowledge).

Ah well, I check the forums more regularly than you might think. It's just that I really lost interest in the Misc - which also means I fully support this move.

I guess Misc - or its precedents - has indeed been created to find a place for all the random threads to live. But that's because we wanted to give it a chance.

We settled on the decision of replacing misc by slightly more interesting and on-topic forums. At first, people might indeed just be posting their Misc-y threads in all other forums.

But we'll spend a lot of time guiding the community in making the change    Everyone will just get used to it.

Before you call someone a spammer you should really investigate what they're saying.

I did investigate. Because of this misc. thing, a bunch of spammers are coming here advertising their forums and pretending they are popular.

For all the people quitting and flaming, you're really just showing that you aren't a true Scratch member if the only reason you were here was to post on Misc.

What about the topics like school, friends, social life, hobbies, debates, etc. All those topics are very interesting, and couldn't stay if this happened.
