As far as I know, it's just being separated into 2 sections.

Aww, this transition is going to be hard for me. I always help out in all the forums and use their names many times in posts so having to say different names will be difficult. Maybe I'll just say the same ones tongue

That's not quite true. Misc was an "open-topic" forum. These new forums are not, so threads that don't fit will be closed, and the account will be notified.

I asked the same thing, and ProgrammingFreak and kimmy123 told me they will be archived, which means that you can read them by going to the "Jump To" menu at the bottom of any topic. Sorry if someone else already answered this, I'm not patient enough to read all of the posts.

I think this is a great idea. By dividing misc. the minecraft server topics, and things like that will be more visible, and then it will be easier to read the pages without clutter such as the I quit and occasional post count topics.

I also think it is smart by notifying a user when their topic is closed, would that be automatic, or would the mods have to send the message? if it was not automatic then the ones that get closed after 2 weeks might become a bit of a problem.

To those who want to protest against it, there isn't much use. There are always going to be changes so we need to go with the flow. Quitting isn't going to change anything, because there is always a constant flow of new users. If you want to protest by quittting then you will be quickly forgotten. If you stay then people will talk of your adventures in the future.

I believe one change that should be done is a pop up on your first visit to the scratch forums, saying the basic rules: be polite, respect others, etc. and try to post in the right forums with a description of all the forums.

Also, for the suggestions forum, there should be a bar at the the top when you post a new topic saying: "make sure your suggestion is not already covered here."
