Techno, since Lellowsfuzz is has not been active on this forum for sometime, I decided to record the piano tracks for LSJ by myself. I recorded them in three separate tracks so as to minimise the background interference. Some of them need to be repeated, so you can do that while mixing. We can finally finish another pending song!  big_smile

Okay, awesome! Next song is Gone, correct?

Yup. Do you know if Reload has been completely struck off or not?

Re: Frozen Coco: Take 3

Sorry I haven't been active here in a while, I've been doing some of my own music.
First of all, I have the piano parts for LSJ done and recorded, and I just haven't gotten to exporting and uploading them.
Second of all, it would be great for me to be a singer, so if you want me to be it, then I can do that  smile

EDIT: Here's the piano for LSJ on SoundCloud: http://soundcloud.com/gamez7/lazysundayjam-piano

OK. We've asked ContinentalRain to be singer already. If she doesn't reply, we'll see if you can take the spot.  smile

P.S. I already recorded the LSJ piano parts. Don't worry, you can still play for the other songs!  tongue

Chill out dude... What d'ya mean? I finished recording a long time ago, gave you a loooooong time to see if you uploaded your bit, and I uploaded mine, assuming you were taking a break from Scratch or something. It is not fair for you to come the next day and upload your bit, then tell me off. I was only doing it so that the band could get a song finally done with as YOU were holding them up. It's YOUR fault and not MINE!  mad

Seeing that Extended Play is not the correct name for this, it cannot be considered an EP. Who said an album can't be short? There are plenty of them that are short, especially at amateur level like FC.

I'm not arguing with you.

I don't have any intentions of arguing with you. Have you ever seen an LP disk? It's huge. Just thought I'd say.

In the digital age, LP is used interchangeably with album, to refer to something around 35-60 minutes long, usually with around 12-15 3-5 minute songs. An EP is usually between 4 and 8 songs, depending on the length of songs, and can be anywhere from 8 to 30 minutes long. As your songs are ~3 minutes and you'll have 5, it would be generally considered an EP from a consumer and industry point of view.  smile

Yeah, but an EP stands for extended play as opposed to LP (Long Play) and those were only found on the big black records found over 20 years ago. It cannot therefore be considered an EP.  smile

They originally referred to the records, yes, but the name has changed and adapted. Just see Wikipedia. (and they do actually still make those 'big black records' and they sell more than CDs.) EPs can actually also be on 12" records too.

Yeah, they do now with the advent of digital downloads. CDs will actually be phased out from production (except for limited edition items) in the next few years.

Re: Frozen Coco: Take 3

What we're doing is an EP, not LP. veggieman is right - an EP is shorter than a LP, the latter being colloquially known as an album.

Most likely I'll prioritize Lellowsfuzz's piano track even if he took a while to record it, he's actually in the band.

I'll try to get a quick raw mix of LSJ now. I don't think I'll upload it though.

Yeah that's right. That's what I was trying to make sense of.

And does it really matter that Lellowsfuzz is in the band? I noticed that in his track there is no sustain at all which makes chord entry rather sharp and harsh. Let's work towards what's best for the band.

DIY, do you have to spaz out at everyone?
Lellowfuzz is the piano player for this band, and if he is holding us back, that's his responsibility.

And stop arguing about the EP LP thing, it's and EP, everyone says so.

About the EP/LP thing, I made my point; it is not the proper PROPER term. It's coloquial.

No, I'm not 'spazzing' out at everyone. Have you ever given a thought to the fact that everytime it's you? What business do you have here anyway? You have no reason to intervene in someone else's matter.

Lellowsfuzz had no reason, I repeat NO REASON to 'spaz' out at me after he delayed the whole thing. I was only helping the band. It is NOT my fault and please DO NOT intervene in the band's internal matters.

Blurring doesn't get rid of sharp and harsh, it limits visibility.
Antialiasing gets rid of sharp and harsh. Perhaps you could have selected all the sketchup objects, grouped them and softened their edges?

And who said you were part of the band as a musical member...?

I NEVER said I was a musical member of the band. I've clearly highlighted that above. And to answer your question, no one said so...

My SketchUp image blends in with the rest of the background, creating a more realistic look to it. It is anything but sharp...
