I was aware of that fact when I made the point about a cover of Gone been released before our version. I still think that we tell zippynk to upload the cover after our one. Just giving my two cents as manager.  big_smile

Hmm. I'm listening to WIBY right now and the bass doesn't seem nearly as loud as when I listened to it through actually good headphones... So either you did put the bass too loud (and I didn't notice on the other mix) or I buried the bass in WIBY's mix.  tongue

Again, good point about Gone. I just hope we manage to release it soon.  lol

Here's the processed LSJ tracks. I suggest you add a little reverb and compression to the lead track, it sounds much less annoying with reverb.  big_smile

Also, the whole mix could use some panning. In mine, I panned the lead guitar to the left and the piano to the right.

EDIT: I e-mailed hpotter134 like two days ago to see if he could record Gone and Reload... No answer yet. :c

If bass is too loud, I could adjust that without hassle. Let's ask the others too, what do you think?

I'll try adding reverb to the lead track like you suggested. It's no problem, I can do guitar for Gone and Reload if needed.

For now, I'll do the vocals on Gone and Reload once they are ready, and we'll let another female singer redo the vocals for MVTY and WIBY since I think it works out well that way.

Yeah, we are since our line-up has changed and we would like to start afresh. It's only two songs, so it's not a lot of work.

Techno, I listened to the guitar tracks you linked me to. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference, but at some points, it does sound better. I will try to put it into the mix I already created, even maybe filtering it on my own.

You're already in the Candy Men.

I have a good idea of the vocals for Reload now, so I'd like to do them for the song.

Band members, I updated the first post on this thread by request so that you all can locate your parts for the songs easily. I also updated the band members list with the new spots.

Techno, I mixed LSJ yet again with a MUCH better sound than before. I remastered the original track by adjustiong bass and treble levels and adding various effects. This should be the final version, I would think.  big_smile

Hope it's good!  wink

Good idea — According to the noteflight score, they need a violin for Gone.

Yeah, I'm mixing for them. I'm a free agent though???

(and I really don't expect they'll succeed)

Well, we don't need such a post right now.

@fg123: Those posts are temporary. We'll be consulting others later. For now, this is all we need.

I just notice something, when the drums come on, it crackles a bit and just sounds a bit fuzzy.

Re: Frozen Coco: Take 3

Well... It seems designer45 didn't actually quit the band. Here's two of her GMail replies plus one of my replies to her:

designer45: Didn't you read my reply?? I didn't quit! I was hormonal!

Me: I see... Does that mean you still want to be the band's vocalist?

designer45: Yep. However, I can't use Scratch anymore, since I got banned for "posting inappropriate images." Which I by the way didn't do. That might cause a problem.
There's also the issue of which forum. There are people signed up for  mine and people signed up for fg123's.

So we never actually lost her, it seems. We'll definitely have to discuss things somewhere else though... What do you guys think we should do? I would either move everything to fg123's forum or communicate through a (e-)mailing list of sorts.

Designer45 was online a few weeks ago...

I posted this several times, but nobody replied, so I'm posting it again.

Perhaps you should contact the ST about unbanning D45?

fg's forum never worked out. Like I've mentioned in my first post, it is a hassle for people to check out some other forums as I update my Scratch account on a daily basis. It is gonna be inconvenient to use another forum on another site (that is why I didn't want to use the forum on my site. It's for others to discuss what's going on in the band). I do not fancy that idea and the concern is not whether another forum is like the ones on Scratch, but that we must be able to continue this thread.

I propose we tell the Scratch Team to unban her. Besides, they only ban people for a few days at first, and if they are banned again, this period doubles each time. Being a 12 year old, I can't imagine that she's been banned several times before to make this a long ban for her.

This should not be a problem. I'll try talking to the ST about it since I've made some very good friends amongst them. This ban can't be long. Otherwise, why can't she just create an alt account?

There are a number of things we can do, but Techno, let us be fair managers and do what is best for the band. Now that she has quit, she should be treated as any other Scratcher would be. Professionalism is key, and we cannot afford to ditch a better vocalist because she was in the band before. Think of it. It only makes sense.

It seems sensible that this course of action is taken. Just making a few suggestions as manager. Your thoughts, Techno?

I know you aren't talking to me, but may I suggest something?

Fake-quitting was a popular thing to do on the old Misc forum, as d45 did. I'm not saying it was the right thing to do, but when other people fake-quit and then came back on, the community accepted them back.

Also, it will be a lot less work (choosing a new vocalist, re-recording two songs, and modifying the rest of the songs) if you let your old vocalist back into the band.

Finally, when Designer45 quit, there was a big outcry, as I remember. Several scratchers thought she shouldn't quit and that she was letting the community down. The community will be happier if you let designer45 come back to Frozen Coco.

I hope you consider my points.

This is, of course, with the exception that if you made any promises to other scratchers, they would still get the job.

Re: Frozen Coco: Take 3

Guys, guys, guys.

We need to stop worrying about all this extra stuff and just get the songs done. We should just record the instruments for Gone and worry about the vocals later. If we have to, I say we record Reload, too, if we're still finding a singer.

As for LSJ, I think the final version sounds fine. We need to move on or else we'll crumble like we did after My Voice To You.

Re: Frozen Coco: Take 3

Yes, we should see if she can be unbanned.

jslomba, that's exactly what I think. Let's keep recording and worry about vocals later.

DIY, if we really want a better vocalist we should actually have held auditions to be sure of who's a good vocalist and who isn't. designer45 isn't the best, to be honest, but there's much worse here in Scratch - most people that sing here are just kids doing bad covers of pop tunes.

Now that she is telling me she didn't actually quit (I'm kinda surprised she didn't say so before) we can't really be sure about the auditions... Maybe we could hold them anyway, and if designer45 isn't back for whatever reason (or a surprisingly good vocalist like ContinentalRain appears) we choose the best.

Re: Frozen Coco: Take 3

I don't see why my forum would be any harder to use. Again, it's simply FluxBB, which is what Scratch uses.

If we get past the bump of the transition, we can do it.

Link is at: http://frozencoco.co.cc/ FYI.

If we discuss on our own forum, then we could separate discussions and be more organized.

And not to be competitive, but I've got Techno, Lellows, hpotter, designer and I registered on my forum, while you only have Lellows and you, so if it does come to it, my forum would be the easiest to transition over, because you and jslomba would be the only ones to have to be registered, accounting for all of the band. In fact, you should go register right now.

jslomba, you too, then we could get organized there.
