Well yeah.......

How about for new scratchers to become scratchers they may/will have to get to 50 posts or something and 10 projects BUT to avoid people spamming with dhsmjksdb and SPAMMY SPAMM SPAAAM! and udddfdcmjm how about.....
1. Capta: New scratchers may/will need to wait 3 mins for posting and may/will need to enter a capta to aviod spam. Scratchers may/will not need to enter a capta though.
2. Checking: Then once a post/thread is made by a new scratcher a spam mod/team checks to post to see if its spam or not. If its spammy the post/thread WILL get removed however if its clean it stays there.
3. A report spam button in the forums. (for serious spam) The button itself is on the index (on the top of the annoucement) on the first post of a thread and on posts.
4. Opinions for cleaning up spam such asbanning a computer/IP from the whole scratch thing itself and stuff.

But it's too easy to get 50 posts. All you'd have to do is go to the New Scratchers forum, and then then just write "hello" on fifty threads hmm

I like the way it's set up already. The only thing is, I think that new scratchers should be able to submit a request to the scratch team. Puppet adventurer had I think it was over 1000 posts before he was accepted to be a scratcher hmm

But it isn't only the number of posts.
The quality of posts and if you flame also are taken into account, as well as activity on the main site.

i like that idea! that way EVERYONE becomes a Scratcher after the same amount of posts+ projects.
