Uhh. Sorry, in my opinion, Spongebob is the worst, most disgusting, most horrifying kids show IN THE WORLD. I'm sorry, I just had to say that. Did you know that it was originally supposed to be for adults, but kids liked it too (most likely some freaky kids who thought skin being ripped off was epic)? And they did a test and the kids who watched Spongebob had worse grades.

Replace "best" with "worst", and you are completely correct.
Fixed
Fixed again.
I've WATCHED AT. I know that it's terrible because of experience.
For god's sake, it's too random!
BACK ON TOPIC,
Spongebob's been getting better.
But still not nearly as good as its prime so i understand your point.

No, it being originally for adults is a story passed along by super-overprotective parents to their kids, who want their kids to only watch (and only want to watch) Blue's Clues, and other toddler shows. It was actually a kids show from the start, and was completely awesome and entertaining through the first 3 or 4 seasons.
Oh, and "freaky kids who thought that skin being ripped off is epic"? What kid doesn't like a little cartoon violence? You and the other kids that were brainwashed into liking Barney up until they are a teen?

Dude, have you even watched AT?
I watched one episode. Meh. Nothing special. I didn't really enjoy it as much as I enjoy a good episode of Jeopardy.

Well, I guess you can't trust much of anything on the internet. (Found the 'adult show' thing on a fact website). Anyways, I've never watched 'Blue's Clues' or any of those cartoony toddler shows. I prefer anime, and I've been into it since I was eight. I don't mind cartoon violence, I mind skin being ripped off every single episode and disgusting things that no other kid should see. Sometimes you need some cartoon violence, every once in a while even a little cartoon blood. But it doesn't need all your skin being ripped off, or your eyes popping out, (in my opinion, at least) to make a good show or a good movie. Anyways, I'm extremely sorry, I never meant to get into this argument. I was just trying to state my opinion (although a bit heavily stated, I do admit) and agreeing with "Spongebob should be canceled".

That stuff never happened in earlier episodes though.
And I have more or less gotten straight A's my whole life and I watch Spongebob.

Oh, I guess I've never watched one of the early episodes before. And about the kids who watched Spongebob grade test, I just know that most of them didn't do well.

And despite the rumors, Spongebob was never meant to be an adult show.

I'm fine with cartoon violence, but not when skin gets ripped off an it shows the organs. etc. I used to watch it, But now I would rather that it was scrapped. In the same way as Angry Beavers: They make an episode for the end, Nick finds out, and cancel it. Even though it NEVER AIRED. Thats like saying to a computer expert 'Something is wrong with my computer but nothing has happened'. Daft.

If only Nick had Adventure time.
Frederator Studios (Inc.) tried to get Adventure Time on Nickelodeon, but the network passed. Twice.
Then, the studio approached Cartoon Network. Eventually, it became a series on Cartoon Network.
If only Nick had said Yes. Then, they could've cancelled Spongebob AND still have a good show.
The end.

What will REALLY get Nick's ratings high is a marathon of the old, classic, GOOD Shows.
You know: Doug, Kenan & Kel, Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, etc.

As a side note, I was never allowed to watch Catdog in like preschool/kindergarten because mom said it was inappropriate
She said the same of Jimmy Neutron
Is this actually true? (I saw a couple of episodes in fourth grade but they were really boring, so I couldn't be bothered to figure it out)

Catdog might have been slightly inappropriate in some people's minds, but it isn't that bad no matter how you look at it. Jimmy Neutron wasn't inappropriate at all.

Anyone remember the episode where SpongeBob goes to the beach, and Plankton tricks him to be mean so he can build a new restaurant? Remember the scene where someone sits on Spongebob, Plankton says he should be assertive, so he puts his finger in his pocket and goes 'beep beep'? Had it of been a modern one, he would of ripped half of his skin off.
Bring back the old episodes, or cancel it!
