This is a test of a Mario Kart game I'm working on. This will work generally like TheSaint's Mario Kart Time Trial game, except there will be actual racing with CPUs and such, and there will be items and many courses =) As for the courses, they will all be from SNES Super Mario Kart, off of a site I found. There will be 8 main racers, although I might have some unlockables :) The sprites of the characters are brought to you by RHY3756547, as I personally requested them. Then I changed them a little bit and added some finishing touches. So far there are 12 characters, in which the other you have to access by downloading. The main infinite scrolling engine is by darthpickley.

This sounds awesome! Can't wait to try it!
Be back with my opinions.
My Opinions
Gameplay:
This game, even though it is not finished at the moment, has a nice concept. I can't wait for CPU racing. A map (and shortcuts) would be nice, though.
8/10Art:
The art is taken from another website. I think that in the newer versions, you should make your own, or get someone to do it for you. I still understand how hard it is to make a good 8-bit sprite, so you get credit for that.
6/10The game itself:
This is almost glitchless, but you can go through the red-and-white lines (though you might be able to go through them in real Mario Kart, I just can't remember
7/10Final score:
6/10
You could do a little better.

@G0D_M0D3
Thanks for the review.
Shortcuts will definitely be possible once I add items back. (I removed it temporarily for this update so it would not be very laggy). I might add a map in the final version if it doesn't add too much lag.
The track may be unoriginal, but I think it keeps the game nostalgic, as the tracks are of high quality. But I definitely will consider adding custom tracks in later versions. Also the karts were designed by RHY3756547.
The red and white lines on corners are intended to be drive-able on. You can do this in most Mario Kart games. I have tried to get the game good in terms of collision and such. For example, in the development process, the sparks used to accidentally cause you to slow down as they were part of the costume, and could be touching the dirt. However I fixed this by adding a separate collision costume.
As this is not the final version, it is incomplete. Hopefully you will be impressed when the game finally comes out.

That's a nice game you have there!
It looks very professional (because it's official-ish art?
) and the drifting feels nice once you get used to it. I just wish that you could have a bit more control over how much you turn during a drift (like in Mario Kart 7).
It's fun for the first few laps, but of course, it's just an engine. Once you add items and more courses, I'm sure it will make for a very fun game.

I have made previous versions of this game (this one is my most recent), however there are other similar games, such as Scratch Kart Demo by RHY3756547 and Mario Kart: Time Trial by TheSaint.
