It is but, she was never afraid to die. Even in her final days, she never acted scared or freaked out. It was amazing to think that most adults in her situation would not have acted as calmly as Delaney did.

Did she know what was going on?

She knew what was happening to her. She lost all of her hair but, she still looked beautiful even without hair.

Aw. *hugs Goliath* I feel so sad for you. Even though she was only 5, she sounds like she was a great kid.

So sad D': she must have been so brave...
@Daroach
When someone died in my friend's school, everyone was told, including the younger kids. The boy drowned in a local swimming pool, and I believe his family sued them because they allowed the swimming pool to be overcrowded and had no life guards on duty. Younger kids have to understand what death means.

This is really sad
It's sadder I have to report this since it may be too intense for younger scratchers.
Thanks for letting us know - we'll see how it goes. Death is certainly part of life but it can be scary.
Not too get too far off- topic, but it's probably best if you don't announce on the topic when you are reporting something. We really appreciate being alerted - but may or may not choose to intervene - and with the public announcement, it kind of seems like mini-modding.
@Goliath1 - I'm very sorry about the painful memory of your loss.

My deepest condolences.
I am glad that your sister did not have to see stress or denial in her final hours of her life. She may not exist now, but you can still remember her

Sorry. :_(
We lost our Spotted Gray Tabby cat, Sally, when it was 12 weeks old. We don't know what happened, but I suspect that it played with a rattlesnake and got bitten. At least we have her brother, Simba, who is now 2 1/2 years old, and 13 pounds (not fat though). :_)
Most of you probably think that losing a cat isn't as bad as losing your sister, but I treat our cats like brothers and sisters.
(Fun fact to try to brighten everyone up: Our last 3 cats were named after Disney characters: Simba and Nala (who died last year at 14 years old) are names from the Lion King, Sally from Cars. )

I'm very sorry for your loss.
I know she's watching down on you in Heaven, where, someday, you will be too.
She hears your distress and tries to calm you, as she is the only one who can calm you down.
Her songs of joy keep you going as the day goes on, and you feel like she's with you, until you wait, for the new day to come.
Sorry if my poetry is horrible. I don't know if I've written poetry other than in school when they make me...

Sad. Family members are something we take for granted.
