Hi guys, I've been doing a bit of work on lode runner. Adding enemies and I think I can get 5 on screen without any slow down. I'm working on a way for them to follow the player intelligently.
Do you think we should work with what I've done already or start a similar platform game based on the same techniques? Lode Runner uses a list to draw the levels and keep track of the player position. It's easy to change the look of the levels by using a different image for every sprite. If you think a scrolling platformer would be better, take a look at my Time Traveller demo. This uses hidden sprites to detect the platforms. It takes more memory because the levels are full pictures but you can scroll them easier.
Can you do a mock up of the football game so I can see what you're thinking.
Cheers, Rich

I'm not sure if we're gonna do the football thing now.
