Then yes, of course there is a better chance to switch because before you knew that it had nothing behind it it was a 1/3 chance but now it's a 1/2 chance.

If you mean, I pick one, they open one with nothing so basically it looks like this:
DOOR (Chosen)
DOOR (Nothing)
DOOR (Switch to?)

Then switching will give a 2/3rds chance to get the prize.
