Some Stuff On Games on Non-PC Platforms

[ignor]Does anyone know just how I could make a game for the DS?  I got inspired by the DS hacking topic.  I'm assuming that I'd use C++?  I'd appreciate anyone who helped with this.

Also, can anybody tell me how to use the 3D feature of a 3DS?  I mean, not that I have one, I'm just curious.[/ignore]

So moving on to consoles, how do I sense for, for example, PS3/PS2 button presses?

Also, there is, of course, the matter of how to sense the direction and degree of the analog sticks.

And finally, if I ever get around to putting the work into a console game, how do I run it?

Re: Some Stuff On Games on Non-PC Platforms

I think Nintendo use their own special software, which probably wouldn't be available to just anyone.
Sorry.

Sorry.

But Nintendo isn't the only one who develops DS games.  Just think about Kingdom Hearts Re:coded and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, among others.

You need to buy the SDK, which costs a few hundred.

Maybe they paid Nintendo to let them use the software?

There's free third party ones and some of them are similar to Game Maker Lite.
