That’s not how it works.
Doctors are only wrong, VERY rarely.
If someone is going to die, and a doctor says so, the person is probably going to die.
I don’t mean to sound cruel, or mean, or inconsiderate, but realistically, that pretty much never happens.

This is a little depressing but the thing about this disease is
It kills your brain cells and thus your personality
So if he actually has it (I'll try not to accuse anyone of lying), it might even be preferable not to live longer
