Sometimes if you freeze a glass of milk, the water content in the milk is enough to cause the milk to expand and break that glass.
There's also the case of exploding milk when the milk is heated, where a film can form over the milk if it's not properly stirred - the film can trap fumes and if the fumes build up too much the milk can explode.
