As soon as I right-click, the menu appears then disappears.
What should I do? I've turned it off/on.

It's a Windows laptop.

Both the click thingies on my laptop stopped working a long time ago
(I don't use it anymore)
But I got used to just tapping with the mousepad
Ctrl C copies and Ctrl V pastes

it might just be your mouse/trackpad double clicking when you only clicked once

turn off the trackpad or unplug the mouse and try again

Some copyright-protected websites disable the ability to copy stuff, so it might be that. Have you tried copying text from various places?
