The img (image) tag in BBCode usually works...I've never tried it with gifs, though.

It does work with GIFs. The animation in my sig is one.

Yup, I'm the sig king.
So, Happypieman, just make a bunch of pictures that will become the gif and then go to http://picasion.com/ putt the images in, and you have the forum code.
