Flagged project

Why.
Why was my latest project flagged.
Yes, the song is called "I'm On Crack". Not much I can do about the song name. And considering the line I used just said, "cats cats cats cats cats, back in the day it's like-cats cats cats," it's not really inappropriate. I wasn't trying to encourage drug use at all. 99.9% of all the people on there knew I wasn't.
But I mean, really? Am I not allowed to give the song artist credit for their song?

The SONG is called I'm On Crack. That doesn't mean I am literally on crack.

I'm not saying you were exactly wrong for removing it, I just think it's kind of stupid considering the project has absolutely NOTHING to do with drugs. If you didn't like the song name, you could have just left a comment saying that you wanted me to remove the song's name and just include the artist's name.

If I do that, can I repost it please?

It wasn't just that song, the ending song contained lyrics with inappropriate language. You got a notification about your flagged project, you're supposed to be using music with appropriate lyrics. You can repost the project so long as the music is appropriate for all ages.

Re: Flagged project

..................
Then why do you guys allow people who use the non-clean versions of Headstrong and You're Gonna Go Far Kid to keep their projects?  hmm  Honestly it feels like everyone targets the "famous" scratchers.

Fine, but if you're going to do that then it's only fair you take down everyone else's projects using songs with language.

I know I'm still going to get the whole, "you're spreading bad language around," but I'm positive that most of the people on Scratch have parents/guardians that cuss occasionally. Shouldn't they be at least a little more mellow about it....?

Those project might not have been reported yet. Projects with bad lyrics are usually removed when reported.

Of course, just hit the flag button to let us know where they are.  wink

There are parents of Scratchers and teachers who are also not comfortable with that kind of music on the site (some even go far as to e-mail the Scratch Team about it), and such music still breaks the Community Guidelines, which everyone has to follow.

Re: Flagged project

Alright, but next time, before removing my project, can you just leave a comment letting me know you want the song changed? I can do that and reupload it without losing comments/views/love-its like I would if you remove it and I have to reupload it as a new project.

Sorry, that can't be done.

If that was done for all projects, then such inappropriate content would remain up there longer (thus increasing exposure), which is not good for those who visit the site and may stumble upon that content.

Perhaps they didn't like the pictures? But I checked it, and it shows no signs of being flagged.
