But guys, there is a new bill.
ACTA. The EU's version. Baaaaad.

Now the Americans who live in the country that was bashed by people in Europe can bash their countries?

Dead for now. You never know when some thick-headed Congressman will attempt to pass something like this again, so even if SOPA/PIPA are dead, we should still keep watch on what going on in the U.S. government.

For more things than just internet bills. It's our duty as the people to see that the government stays in line, and does what WE want them to do, as we are the people who elected them. It's just how democracy works.

Hmmm...PIPA is still a threat, so we should definitely ████████████████████████████████████ That would definitely stop Congress from passing the bill!

Well, technically, both SOPA and PIPA are a threat even if they have been dropped; still you never know when someone on Congress will resurrect wither one of the bills. For now, we should just keep watch to see if Congress will try to pull off something like that again.

I heard they have slipped bills that died do to the public speaking up into future, completely unrelated, bills without publicizing the bill.

Re: SOPA/PIPA Official Topic

The worst decision made by the government recently is definitely taking down MegaUpload; yesterday, Anonymous launched huge attacks, including Whitehouse.gov, demanding that SOPA and PIPA go out of the question.

Hopefully, this means that SOPA and PIPA are gone, and we no longer have to worry about our internet being censored.
