They were just put their temporarily but now the day is almost over where MIT is.
Yeah, the day is over by now, and also the banner was removed several hours ago.
I was there when they put the banners and featured projects on, and I was there when they took the three banners and three featured projects off.
You must be online a lot
Yes, we only ran them for the one "day of SOPA / PIPA" in support of other sites that were demonstrating that day. Now, it's back to the regular Scratch website.
The issue is not yet resolved, however, and hopefully efforts to convince others to reject these proposals will continue. Here in the forums, though, things have gotten more than a little untidy. I will be collecting SOPA / PIPA topics and merging them today to try and get things straightened up some.

Thanks for stickying this, the spam of SOPA and PIPA was getting pretty annoying, and they're obviously not going to pass anyway.

Yeah, about 20 or so...I decided to do some consolidation. Your topic gave a great introduction so I started with it. Sticky for now, while the topic is hot

That must make a conversation without quotes so hard to follow. XD

Yeah, but it's not like most of the government cares. Let's hope Obama does.

Many of the sites just had pop-ups you could close to protest against it.

He does, but it can still pass through him with 2/3.

He does, and he's agreed not to sign it. It might pass as a veto, though.

Awesome. Internet makers said that?
Yeah.
Also, our friends at Anonymous are at work, yesterday they began #OpBlackout in response to SOPA.

Ugh. It's nice to see Anonymous working towards something that's not ENTIRELY corrupt, but it's still annoying to see activity there.

Thanks to whoever stickied this, now we won't have five threads a day about it.

It didn't pass~!
not SOPA, but they haven't voted on PIPA yet. If it does, it'll be like prohibition all over again, except it will affect even more people.

I am fine with spreading awareness, but we must be adult in how we do it.

LOOK GUYS
If the bills pass, our lives could be better! We'd get a chance to do new stuff, rather than sitting in front of a SCREEN all day!
Not saying I support the bill, but really!
