I dunno if your school is different, but there's nothing in my school's dress code that says boys can't wear dresses.

There isn't in my dress code either, but he still got suspended. This needs to stop, now!

Then they have no right to suspend him!  If there's nothing saying it's not allowed, then it's allowed!

Most dress codes have some rule like "No distracting clothing' or whatever to sum up what they didn't actually state in the list of No's. And like it or not, a guy in a dress is distracting.

Re: Discussion of LGBT

i don't really believe in the idea of marriage because its just another term THE MAN throws at you, but lots of people think otherwise, and it's come to symbolize a lot more today

so if two people feel like "authenticating" their love with being wed then i dont see why not

this was in response to that jun guy
i dont feel like quoting

oh and johndo;;

atheism rejects everything

The thing is some people still descriminate against them. Just look at all the stories in this thread.

Lol. That was during the time of widespread racism and what not. How in the world are the 30's better.

Today's society is trying to be too much "politically correct" and "humanitarian". Look back at the 30's, and now look at today. Look how much worse it's become. I do not care about homosexuals, but the discussion of so called "rights" is dumb.  You know why? Because "they" already have rights. They are not Homosexuals, they are humans, like the rest of us. And all humans have the same rights. The only gay right is marriage, which is kinda dumb anyways. i've heard of many straight couples who have been together for years and haven't married yet. and they have children. Marriage doesn't have to be the thing that binds two people together, it's love, comradery.

Really? Look at the 30's. Racism and discrimination, along with hamsters containing the streets with tommy guns. Also, if you look at places like Africa and the middle east, homosexuals and bis are killed by stoning. Even here, straight people get jobs first, on adverage, than LGBTs because they are classed as 'normal'. LGBTs have less rights than those who choose the opposite gender for love. It's wrong. Even here, this forum gas had someone saying that this isn't appropriate for children. If that's not discrimination, I don't know what is.

Jun - No.  The 30s were bad. My great-uncle, who's gay, ran away to NYC in the 1950s because he was basically afraid for, well, his life.

Re: Discussion of LGBT

I'm bisexual. I knew when I started liking a girl. I HATED it, and it felt so embarassing. Now I'm getting a little more comfortable with it. But still, not even my best friend knows who she is, and I would trust her with my life. I just don't want it to get out, because if the boy I like hears about it... well, now I don't even want to THINK about what would happen then...

Re: Discussion of LGBT

If you tell your best friend and they reject you, they're not really a friend at all. It feels cliched, but it's true: true friends won't care.

Re: Discussion of LGBT

Not hating on religion or anything, but it's kinda stopping humans from accepting and moving past differences, in a world without religion it'd be "Ok, you love someone of the same gender, I can accept that", but currently it's "I don't care what you think, this book says it's wrong", it's quite sad really, but I understand not all religions or the followers are like that.

its sadder because a lot of the stuff in those books is really outdated, but they choose to keep up this of all things

And if a wife cheats on the husband the husband stones her to death. It's pushing everyone back to medieval times, we should be living in a world where anyone is accepted and everyone is equal.
