Got this from another post, idea was so good but topic was closed so I couldn't bump it!! ^w^
How to never see another "I quit" project:
1. Go to the home page
2.Click on "New Projects"
3. Go to ten of the newest projects and comment something helpful but nice on them.
4. Put ":D SCRATCH ON!" at the end.
If everyone reads this there never will be another I quit project FOR ATTENTION.

Nice idea, but this still wont stop it. Most people quit because they move on in life, not really because the don't get famous.

Actually some people do quit just to get attention and so they can get famous off their I quit project... But anyways, that won't help. People will just want more attention (unless they're actually quitting)...

I don't think that'll work. If that person sees this topic, then there'll know the comment was just to ensure they won't quit.

I don't mind "i quit" projects as long as they aren't doing it to get attention. I'm tired of all of these "i quit" made only for attention. But if they aren't doing it for attention then im fine with it

I think people are capable of quitting without making 1001 topics and projects warning people.

Please don't necropost, necroposting is generally looked down upon in the community.

I agree with you.

Uh necropost.
But yeah, to expand on what I said 4 months ago (lol), quitting for attention isn't really a bad thing anyway, since members who only stay for fame aren't worth having anyway.

you shouldn't bump threads that are on the front page.

@FreshStudios: Necroposting is posting on old topics ("old" is considered older than a month)
But the thing is, if someone only joined Scratch for popularity, they weren't worth having anyway. I guess if they're quitting because they just got too busy, or they've moved on to more challenging programming languages, I never get annoyed or anything. It's just when someone does it for popularity.
I guess that encouraging not so popular Scratchers, if enough people do it, then this might help, but the ST is getting better about it: featured, newest projects and curators, but there just are way too many projects out there for someone to view all of them.
Quitting is an everlasting problem and no matter what you do, those dramatic people out there make a big deal out of it all.
If you only joined Scratch to get popularity, you might as well walk out of the virtual door right now, because it takes work to get noticed. If you spend an average of five minutes on a project, I can see why you aren't noticed in the community. But if you spend time plotting out your projects, then spend time putting them together, and they turn out really good, you deserve to be curated and/or featured!
Whoa, wall of text. But I have a strong opinion I guess ;D

The people who usually do that just try to trick people.

Wow how ironic, a necropost in response to someone explaining not to necropost.
Anyways you necroposted (commenting on a topic older than 1 month) which is frowned upon. You should avoid that in the future. Scratch on!

It seems like Scratchers don't get necroposting.
it's actually commenting on a topic older than 6 months, that's necroposting.
