He is a time traveller, or Skyrim is referencing Brisingr.

Brisingr came out in 2009.
TES V: S came out 2 years later.

My favourite game EVER! Lv 19, full drastic armour, 102 damage with my daedric mace, and looking awesome as a lizard ^^
Btw, if u want a tip, do all the side quests BEFORE you do the mission where u face ur first dragon, then dragons don't appear until u complete that quest

Here's a tip for you.
Try get 100 smithing ASAP, once you have that then work like mad to get a full set of daedric armour, 2 daedric bows and a warhammer. Once you have those then you should start making rings, silver or gold, doesn't matter, once you have ~100 then get everything from your chest which is enchanted and useless to you. Disenchant all of them (Hjerim is a nice house to do this in) and get some form of soul trap on your second bow (Use the best soul gem you have to make sure it has the most charges, the time it lasts means nothing). Once you have a soul trapping bow you should head out to a big, open field with all your soul gems (ALL of them, empty or full) and sneak shoot deer and goats with your enchanted bow, this should fill up smaller gems, for greater ones I suggest bandits.
Once you have loads of full soul gems get to an enchantment table and enchant those rings, repeat this until you get to level 100 in enchanting, all the perks you get from it you should spend on the first enchanting perk (Get 5/5) and make sure you're able to get dual enchantments on items with all the perks. Once you're level 100 with awesome perks then get the best soul gems in the game (I think they're black gems) and enchant every piece of your armour with fortify 2 handed and fortify archery, make sure you get a 100%+ bonus to each. My friend did this and now he has 997 damage with an unimproved dwarven 2 handed sword, and he has no perks in 2 handed. Warhammers are the way to go, the point of using them is to kill things before they're able to do any damage to you, warhammers should be able to do mega damage.

Actually you should do the mission where you face your first dragon (because the enemies scale with your character, so no matter when you do it the dragons will be the same level as you (plus if you don't do that mission, you can't get shouts which can be extremely useful))

I never played it, not me. Then I took something to the knee!
Awesome game though, I play as that cat race - in heavy armor! >:3

What race do you guys prefer? To me its the Nords.
I like khajit because of stealth, speed, and I love the Night Eye ability. At first I was Nord, but I switched to Khajit, sadly without knowing it would erase my previous proress :p. I have it on PS3 btw.

I personally think Argonians are underused. It actually kind of fits with their oppressed minority type character. But really, we need more Dragonborn with heads that look like racecars.
Your thoughts?

I don't have it. But I've heard it's awesome. The only game from the Elder Scrolls series that I have is Morrowind. It's still a really good game.

It's a great game! I play as a Redguard, because of their high one-handed ability. I just became a werewolf. I use the Dawnbreaker sword, and am a level 16.

J'zargo is a good follower to me. I know he can't equip weapons, only use spells, but he has a high HP, so you don't have to worry if an enemy comes close to him. Unlike Marcurio, he doesn't go down in a few hits. He's not the best follower, but he's definitely not as bad as most people say he is.

The Argonians should be played by more people. I guess it fits their role as some kind a minority figure. Skyrim needs more Dragonborn with heads shaped like race cars.

After the Saarthal quest, you have to go up to J'zargo at the college of winterhold. He'll say he needs help with something, and, if you press the right dialogue, he will give you 10 flame cloak spells, and tells you to try them out on some undead. The quest it called J'zargo's experiment. Once you complete it, you can get him as a follower.

I did. Then he died fighting Forsworn. 3 at once. I think I accidentally killed him, just like Lydia.

I prefer one handed or magic over 2 handed 2h is for n00bs in MOST games. I'm not saying skyrim, because I havent tried it yet. I want to but I am training a battlemage. Trying something new because usually i pick sword and shield or dual wielding in most fantasy action rpgs. I used to tell dumb overused arrow to the knee jokes till I took a punch to the face.
