I have a problem, on Steam the game costs £35, Game sells it for £38 with a guide, is it worth paying extra for the guide or is it a waste of £3?

If you want to know everything, spend the extra £3.
If you want a blind playthrough, get the game on its own.

Ok, spent £35 on it from Steam (honestly annoyed with that), started and spent what I thought was 10 minutes on it, 3 hours later and I've just killed the first dragon.
It took 4 hours to download, and it works perfectly with no lag at all on my PC.

It's impossible to win Skyrim.
Everything (except for the opening scene at Helgen) is a sidequest. Even the mainquest is treated like a huge sidequest that the game focuses on. Even after you complete all of those things, randomly generated miniquests start popping up to add some more spice to the universe. Plus, there's going to be DLC released in the future, and the modding community is hard at work making fan content.
tl;dr: You. Cannot. Win. Skyrim.
