I like Digimon, because THEY were my childhood
I like the plot elements better, and the overall characters were cool.
I'd just like to share that Digimon was created in 1991, and Pokemon in 1995, so Digimon did not steal pokemon's idea, nor did pokemon steal Digimon's idea.
Digimon was a virtual pet for boys, Pokemon was a recreation of a bug catching idea.

Pokémon for story alone. Digimon always struck me as kind of odd, and I never understood Yu-Gi-Oh.
Including character design, I'd still have to say Pokémon. Yes, some of the Generation V Pokémon are ugly (Woobat), but they still win out over Yu-Gi-Oh's horrorterrors.
